The Beginning Of Yahweh's Kids
A few years ago, my husband and I rededicated our lives to Jesus. From that point on, the Holy Spirit began opening our eyes to the responsibility we had to protect our home and guard what came through our doors. The world felt loud, heavy, and confusing, and we knew we had to be more intentional about what we allowed to influence our children.
As the Lord worked on us, our priorities started to change. The Holy Spirit gently showed us things that needed to be removed; first in our own lives, and then in the life of our family. More than anything, we wanted our home to be a place where our kids experienced Jesus, not the pressure and confusion of the world.
A Change in Our Home

Around that time, our youngest was moving from her toddler bed into her first "big girl bed," and I went shopping for bedding. What should have been a simple trip stayed with me. Everywhere I looked, I saw cartoon characters, trendy themes, and unicorns - lots of unicorns. None of it reflected the peaceful, safe space I wanted to create for her.
We eventually chose something simple, pink and flowers, but the experience stuck with me. It made me realize how hard it can be to find things for our children that align with the atmosphere we are trying to create in our homes.
A Burden for Families

As our family walked through this journey of creating a Christ centered home, I started following the movement Don't Mess With Our Kids. By then, the Lord had already placed a deep burden on my heart. I felt strongly that we needed to start discipling our children earlier and more intentionally than many of us were discipled as kids.
Our children need more than surface-level knowledge about Jesus. They need a real relationship with Him, and that foundation has to be built at home, within the family. In 2024, the world felt especially heavy, and when I heard the call to go with Don't Mess With Our Kids to Washington, D.C., for a prayer gathering, I knew I was supposed to be there.
Working in the Overflow

In October 2024, I traveled from Texas to Washington, D.C., with a group of incredible friends. There, we joined 350,000 others on the National Mall for 12 hours of fasting, worship, and prayer for our children and our country. It was one of the most powerful experiences of my life. The Holy Spirit was present in a way I will never forget.
People sometimes talk about "working in the overflow," and that is exactly what it felt like. After spending that much time fasting, worshiping, and fully surrendered to God, I went home spiritually full and deeply aware that I was being called to do more.
"Yahweh's Kids was born in the overflow of prayer, surrender, and a desire to help families build Christ-centered homes."
How Yahweh's Kids Was Born

Yahweh's Kids was born in that overflow. On the drive home, God began downloading the plan to my heart. He gave me the name, the bigger vision, the mission, and the first concept. The heart behind it was simple: to help other families who were walking through the same things we were.
We wanted to create something that would help parents build Christ-centered homes and safeguard their families from the pressures of the world. Being a gatekeeper for the spiritual atmosphere of your home is a weighty responsibility, but it is not one we carry alone.
This Is Just the Beginning
When I got home, I shared the vision with my husband. We prayed, talked, and kept seeking the Lord together. Then, in January 2025, we officially stepped out in faith and started Yahweh's Kids.
This is just the beginning. We know God has a much bigger plan ahead, and we are grateful you are here to walk this journey with us. Our prayer is that Yahweh's Kids encourages families to create homes where Jesus is known, loved, and welcomed.
